Motorists driving on the wrong side of the road can no longer get away with just paying a meagre fine. The Bhubaneswar traffic police has launched a special drive to seize the bikes driven on the wrong side of the road.

A couple of days back, Bhubaneswar traffic police had seized more than hundreds of bikes driven on the wrong side. The police have come to the action mode again.

As per reports, several bikers are flouting the traffic norms and driving their bikes on the wrong side of the road. Now, fines will not be collected from them anymore, rather the bikes will be seized and the owners will have to release their bikes by paying fines in court.

In order to ensure that the traffic regulations are strictly followed by the vehicle drivers, the personnel of Traffic Police Stations in the Capital City have launched the enforcement drive at different locations in the city.

Earlier, the Commissionerate Police had appealed to the vehicle drivers to strictly follow the traffic regulations to prevent penalties and court cases. The enforcement drive on various norms would continue in the coming days as well.
