Bargarh Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) Charubara Rath on Friday accused district Collector Monisha Banerjee of misbehaviour and sought her transfer.

In a letter to the Health and Family Welfare Department secretary, Rath alleged that she has been subjected to misbehaviour by the Collector over a tender.

In her letter, she also mentioned that the Collector had also misbehaved with her on several occasions without understanding anything.

“One person died during CM Naveen Patnaik’s programme at Jharabandha. Even after managing the crisis swiftly, the Collector never praised our efforts,” she mentioned in her letter.

“I get hurt due to the rude behaviour of the Collector. This is not the first time. She had also misbehaved with me earlier. She speaks as if she is trying to mentally torture someone,” Rath alleged.

Meanwhile, reacting to the allegations levelled by the CDMO, the Collector said she has not gone through the letter.

“I have not seen the letter. It has also not marked to me. She has her freedom of expression and she has expressed it,” the district Collector said.
