Bansidhar and Ila Panda Foundation distributes educational equipment in Choudwar schools

Educational equipment was distributed to various educational institutions under Choudwar block in Cuttack district on behalf of Bansidhar and Ila Panda Foundation (BIPF), the social development wing of Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA), on Sunday.

As many as 140 pairs of benches and desks were presented to seven schools under the block. A computer was also provided to a de-addiction centre.

While Choudwar-Cuttack MLA Souvik Biswal attended as the chief guest, IMFA Vice-President Vinay Agrawal attended the programme.

Apart from providing educational equipment to the institutions, as many as 15 athletes, who scripted success in the block athletic meet, were also felicitated. 

“Under the development of rural sports, we have been sponsoring Choudwar Block Athletic Association. We have been distributing 120-130 pairs of benches and desks to the schools every year. We also gave a computer to Udhhar Foundation for their educational growth. We have been helping people who are below the poverty line under five different projects of our CSR wing. We will continue to help them in future. Our main focus is to help some sections of the society so that they can be benefited," said IMFA General Manager Sarada Prasad Rao.

“IMFA has provided educational equipment to seven schools in Choudwar block. Apart from that, the district-level winners of Choudwar Block Athletic Association were also felicitated by IMFA. IMFA has been executing its corporate social responsibility in the right manner. IMFA has set a goal for the development of Choudwar along with its own development,” said Choudwar-Cuttack MLA Souvik Biswal.
