Be aware, if you are visiting Bali Yatra in Cuttack and keeping your bikes at parking places. Bike looters are reportedly on the prowl at the historic event.
In a latest such incident, a person identified as Sushant Swain from Sikharpur area in Cuttack had kept his bike at Shyamakali parking area near Boat Club by purchasing a ticket. However, when he returned after enjoying Bali Yatra with his family, he found to his utter dismay that his bike was missing.
Following a frantic search when he failed to find his bike, he complained about the theft before the parking owner. Subsequently, the parking owner checked the CCTV camera installed at the parking place, but no clue about the theft was found.
Without having any alternative, Swain lodged an FIR about the theft incident at the Cantonment police station. However, police are still clueless about the theft even two days after the incident.

“What can we do if our bike will be stolen after keeping it at the parking place by paying money? Though we checked the CCTV footage, it was of no use. Nothing could be found from the footage as it was blurred,” said bike owner Swain.
“After receiving the complaint about the theft from the bike owner, we searched for the vehicle with my assistants for a long time, but in vain,” said parking spot owner Aditya Kanungo.
However, no reactions could be obtained from police in this regard.
