Badagrahi of Lord Balabhadra breaks silence on Adapa Mandap bije mishap
Badagrahi of Lord Balabhadra, Haladhar Das Mohapatra has finally broken his silence on the Adapa Mandap bije mishap.
In an exclusive interview with OTV, Mohapatra said that the conduct of - Gundicha Yatra, Netra Utsav and Nabajuban darshan rituals on the same day is not right. There has been irregularity in the conduct of the rituals, he alleged.
"Whatever was conducted in 1971 was also not right as conducting two days' rituals in one day is not possible as several rituals are involved," he said.
According to Mohapatra, the way bhoga should have been offered to the deities was not done. Hence, the deities went hungry on the Gundicha Yatra.
Mohapatra further questioned how the 'Agyan Mala' went from the Anasara Ghara. Whatever wrong happened during the Adapa Mandap bije was all due to this, he quipped.
"How Agyan Mala went from Anasara Ghara? Though it is said that a similar thing happened in 1971, several rituals were not followed. We do not know what transpired between Puja Pandas and others. Everybody saw many rushing after Lord slipped. What were they doing earlier?" Mohapatra said adding that the decision on banning mobile use on chariots by the new SJTA chief administrator is a welcome step.
