Astrologer arrested from Bhadrak for alleged rape bid on woman

The Commissionerate Police on Thursday arrested an astrologer on charges of attempting to rape a woman. The accused has been identified as Nilambar Pani.

As per reports, Pani, who claimed to be an astrologer and promised to solve problems from marital to financial, came in contact with a rich family in Bhubaneswar.

The victim family which was going through a domestic problem sought Pani’s help, who in turn gave them cloves and charged lakhs of rupees as his consultation fee.

However, as it turned out, their domestic problem continued to bother them and the money spent on the astrologer was for nothing.

A complaint was filed with the police which, on further investigation, nabbed Pani on Thursday.
