Appointment process for Odisha govt bodies to begin soon: Revenue Minister

Odisha government is set to begin the appointment process for key bodies, including corporations, boards, and commissions, with completion expected by month-end. Discussions also focused on party elections, and government performance over the past eight months.

Discussions were held in a key meeting of Odisha BJP regarding the party’s appointments in corporations, boards, commissions, and district planning bodies. Appointment process for the government bodies will begin soon, Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari said on Friday.

The selection and appointment process will be completed by the end of this month. Apart from this, other important matters were discussed.

Organisational elections and the selection of state unit president were also discussed.

There were discussions regarding the activities and performance of the government over the past eight months. Detailed discussions also took place on how coordination between the government and the party will be effectively maintained.

“After completion of organisation elections across Odisha, the poll for the party’s state unit president will be conducted, along with nomination of state level functionaries. Thereafter, the state executive body will be constituted. Selection of the presidents is yet to be done in some organisational districts. All these involve a lengthy process,” the Revenue Minister stated.

“In BJP, elections are conducted from grassroots level up to the state level,” the Revenue Minister added.
