In a bid to check rising theft cases in the apartments of Twin City of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, Commissionerate Police has issued an advisory, directing to the installation of IP-enabled cameras at the entrance and exit points, informed Twin City Police Commissioner S Devadutta Singh on Saturday.
According to the Police Commissioner, Residents’ Welfare Associations (RWAs) have been advised to install IP-enabled cameras and share the data with the control room of the Commissionerate Police.
“We have issued an advisory for the people residing in the apartments. The Residents' Welfare Associations will install IP-enabled cameras at the entry and exit points of all the apartments in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar and give their feedback to our control room. It will provide two-way communication and as a result, we will be able to provide better security,” said the Police Commissioner.
“Cooperate with all our police stations and we are with you. We will take the help of your feedback and guards in case of detection. If you have any information or suggestions, please share with us through WhatsApp number 7077798111,” he added.
