Acting on the direction of the Orissa High Court, the family court has started the final round of hearings of Varsha Priyadarshini-Anubhav Mohanty's marital discord case.

In the marital-discord case, statements of both parties are being recorded at the family court.

Notably, citing inordinate delay in the family court proceedings, actor-turned-politician Anubhav had knocked the door of the High Court. He had filed a petition in this regard.

Hearing his petition, the High Court had on July 13 directed the family court to record the statements of both the parties by July 31 and dispose of the case in three months.

It is pertinent to mention here that Anubhav and his actress wife have been fighting an ugly marital dispute in the court with Anubhav seeking a divorce from Varsha. So far, multiple FIRs and counter FIRs have been filed by both the parties.

Recently, in a video shared on his Facebook account on his birthday, Anubhav said he would celebrate his birthday on the divorce day.

“I have been living a dead life for the last three-four years. I will get a new birth after divorce,” said the actor.

“On my divorce day, I will celebrate my birthday. My real birthday will be celebrated on the divorce day. I will get a new birth and new lease of life on that day,” he added.
