The intrusion of Andhra Pradesh into Odisha’s territory, especially in the Kotia region of Koraput district is nothing new. This time the neighbouring state has gone one step ahead and organised a mega health camp at Dhulipadar village.

Andhra Pradesh has organised a mega health camp this time by providing free health check-ups and services to some 500-odd people from several nearby areas. The medical camp is being organised by Salur mandal of the neighbouring state. Free medicines and other articles are being provided to the beneficiaries at the camp.

Andhra Pradesh ST Commission chairman and other senior officials reportedly attended the health camp. It is not the first time that Andhra Pradesh has come up with such people-friendly initiatives in the disputed territory of Kotia. Similar camps and programmes had been organised in Kotia by Andhra Pradesh in the past too to woo the locals.

However, the local administrative officials claimed to have no information about the holding of such health camps by Andhra Pradesh.
