At a time when both Odisha and Andhra Pradesh governments are at loggerheads over Kotia, the frequent visits by senior officials from the neighbouring state have always remained a concern here. This time Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister P Rajanna Dora visited Dhulipadar village under the Kotia panchayat in Korput district of Odisha.

As per initial reports, the Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister held a meeting and tried to create awareness among the locals about the welfare schemes of Andhra government. The local residents also welcomed Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister's visit to the area. He hoped that the residents of the bordering village get maximum benefits of the welfare schemes of the Andhra Pradesh government.

While addressing the gathering, Dora said that it is only due to the efforts of the Andhra Pradesh government, some development has happened here. A slew of schemes and measures are in the pipeline and soon they will also be implemented for the residents of all the bordering areas here, Dora added.

Earlier in June last year, Dora had visited Neradibalsa and Tadibalsa areas under Kotia panchayat. The visit of Dora then had sparked a controversy in the state.
