An Amrit Bharat Express train, one of the two Amrit Bharat and six Bande Bharat Express trains that were flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Ayodhya Dham on Saturday, will run between Malda Town and Bengaluru through Odisha. 

As per reports, Malda Town-Bengaluru Amrit Bharat Express train, one of the new versions of the country’s superfast trains, will run under the jurisdiction of the East Coast Railway (ECoR).

The train will have halts at Balasore Railway station, Bhadrak Railway station, Bhubaneswar Railway station, and Visakhapatnam Railway station.

In a press statement, the ECoR said that the launching of the train is a significant step towards fulfilling the continuous commitment of the Prime Minister to provide journey facilities to the citizens. 

The train will arrive at Bhubaneswar at 7.30 am on Sunday. Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi, Rajya Sabha MP Sulata Deo and MLA Ananta  Narayan Jena among others will be present at the Bhubaneswar Railway station to welcome the train.    

The train, which is equipped with both non-AC and LHB coaches, will function as a push-and-pull train with its engine connected on both ends. 

The passengers will have a good experience of a comfortable journey because of the attractive, designed, and well-cushioned seats. Besides, the train has the facilities of good luggage storage, cell phone holders, mobile charging points, LED lights, CCTVs, and a public information dissemination system.
