The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stalwart and Leader of Opposition (LoP), Jayanarayan Mishra on Tuesday dropped a bombshell by claiming that Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently pulled up Odisha 5T secretary VK Pandian during a closed-door meeting in Bhubaneswar.

“We don’t have information regarding the topics on which they discussed, but I have the information that Amit Shah, on that day, admonished the 5T secretary over the Odisha government contemplating holding early elections,” said Mishra.

“Amit Shah told the 5T secretary that if Odisha would go ahead with dissolving the Assembly, we (BJP) would think about the President’s rule,” Mishra claimed.

“At the same time, the Union Home Minister also pulled up the 5T secretary for squeezing the role of the Chief Secretary,” he further claimed.

No comments could be obtained from the 5T secretary or the BJD over the LoP's claims.
