AI cameras to boost security during Rath Yatra 2025 in Puri

Authorities in Puri are enhancing security measures by deploying Artificial Intelligence (AI) cameras that will play a crucial role during the upcoming world famous Rath Yatra festival. This initiative aims to improve the existing management of traffic and crowds during the mega festival that draws lakhs of devotees to Puri every year, said Superintendent of Police.

The AI technology is set to be operational along the National Highway and the culturally significant on Bada Danda or the Grand Road  in Puri. Officials are in the process of installing these cameras to ensure the event runs smoothly and safely.

The Superintendent of Police stated the use of AI cameras will assist in monitoring the heavy influx of devotees and maintaining law and order. The Rath Yatra, draws visitors from across the country and abroad. With the newly implemented technological measures, authorities aim to ensure safety and better crowd management during Rath Yatra festival in Puri.
