Action will be taken in OTET question paper Leak: Odisha Education Minister

Odisha's School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond has assured strict action in connection with the OTET (Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test) question paper leak incident.

Speaking to the media, the Minister said that a thorough investigation is underway and the Crime Branch has already arrested those involved in the leak.

Regardless of how influential a person may be, if they are found guilty, action will be taken, said Gond, emphasising the government's zero-tolerance policy towards malpractice in examinations.

He further stated that measures are being discussed to ensure greater transparency and security in future examinations. The government is prioritizing clean and fair conduct of OTET going forward, he said.

A fresh date for the examination will be announced soon after consultations and review, the Minister added.

“No matter how influential the person may be, necessary action will be taken. Despite necessary measures, several people leaked the question paper. After the Crime Branch probe, necessary action will be taken,” Gond assured.
