At least five people were killed in two separate road accidents that occurred in Odisha on Saturday. As per initial reports, three motorists lost their lives after being hit by an unknown vehicle near Kadei Chhak under Barchana Police limits in Jajpur district.

The deceased have been identified as Anchal Sahu, Debashish Nayak and Abhisekh Sar. All the three youths were on their way to Puri when their bike skidded off the road and they were subsequently run over by an unknown vehicle.

The police have sent their bodies to a hospital and started an investigation into the incident.

In another incident, two bikers were killed after they were hit by an unknown vehicle near Nalanga Chhak on National Highway 16 in Bhadrak district.

Though locals had rushed both the bikers to a hospital following the accident, they were declared dead by the doctors. The deceased have been identified as Biswajit Rout and Sanu Swain.
