3 killed, 1 critical after being hit by speeding truck in Angul

In a tragic incident, at least three persons were killed while another sustained critical injuries after being hit by a speeding truck at Bargapali area in Angul district late Thursday night.

As per initial reports, all the deceased were traveling in a bus that was en route to Bhubaneswar from Sundargarh district. The passengers had reportedly got down from the bus after it developed a flat tyre and was parked alongside the road.

Meanwhile, the speeding truck rammed into the four of them, leading to the mishap. All the four persons were rushed to Rairakhol Hospital where two passengers succumbed to injuries. One of the injured died while undergoing treatment at Kishorenagar Hospital.

The condition of the other passenger is said to be critical. Rairakhol police have reached the hospital and started an investigation into the incident.
