3-ft long Cobra found inside sofa; close shave for family in Odisha’s Bargarh

It is usually said to keep our surroundings as well as inside our homes clutter-free. Reason, any kind of unused space might invite unexpected visitors like snakes and other reptiles or wild animals.

In one such case, a family in Odisha’s Bargarh was left in shock after noticing some unusual sound coming out of their sofa. The family of Sajib Sahu of ward no 17 at Ambapali were about to get the biggest shock of their lives as they were totally unaware of the mysterious sound.

After a frantic search, they realised that there was something inside their sofa. Without wasting time, the family then dialled Snake Helpline member Raman Bag.

After examining the sofa, Bag later pulled out a 3-ft long Cobra that had taken shelter inside it. It is suspected that the Cobra slithered inside the sofa to prey on rats. Subsequently, the Cobra was rescued and released at a safe location, sources said.
