Mystery continues to shroud the death of woman Assistant Collector Susmita Minj even three days after her body was found at Centurion Park in Rourkela.

The police are yet to make any headway to establish the circumstances leading to the death of the woman officer. Suspense over Susmita’s death is gradually getting deeper as police are still clueless about whether it is a murder or suicide case.

The post-mortem report is likely to come out today. Now, the question mark has been raised whether the report will ascertain the cause of Susmita’s death or not?

Meanwhile, Susmita’s family members have alleged that she has been murdered.

As per the allegation by the deceased’s mother Selevstin Minj, Susmita was tense about her work for some days and the senior authorities including the Collector were putting huge pressure on her regarding the office work.

“Susmita came to duty on Saturday. However, she didn’t return home. We lodged a missing complaint at the police station on Sunday. Then her body was found at a park on Tuesday evening. We feel she has been mentally tortured at the workplace which could be the reason behind her death. We can’t get back our daughter. But now we want justice,” Selevstin had said.

However, all the administrative officials in Susmita’s office are still tight-lipped about the matter which has even made the incident more mysterious.

Now, the question mark is why did Susmita go to the park? Was she alone or was there anybody with her? What was the problem of the officer? Was she under any kind of pressure?

Rourkela police are investigating the matter to find out the answers to these questions.
