Ahead of the crucial 2024 elections, all the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs from Odisha left for New Delhi on Tuesday night where they, along with the MPs, will meet the party’s central leadership.

The delegation of the BJP MLAs was led by the Leader of Opposition (LoP), Jayanarayan Mishra.

As per reports, the MLAs and MPs will meet party president JP Nadda and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the 2024 election blueprint for Odisha.

MLAs will also reportedly make PM Modi aware of the alleged hijacking of central schemes in Odisha and the removal of his picture from the posters.

Speaking to reporters at the Bhubaneswar airport, LoP Mishra said, “Our schedule includes meeting with the Prime Minister and Home Minister. We will also meet party president JP Nadda in Delhi.”

“We will discuss the party’s current status, organisational strength in Odisha and how the Naveen Patnaik government is ruling Odisha by misleading the people for 24 years,” he added.

The BJP has been accusing the Odisha government of hijacking Central funds to launch a host of ‘counter schemes’, but posting a dismal show in implementing these programmes.
