In the run-up to the crucial 2024 elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is not leaving any stone unturned to implement the roadmap prepared in Delhi recently to grab power in Odisha. A meeting in this regard was held in Rourkela and it has been learnt that Western Odisha will be the focus of the BJP.

Discussions have begun under BJP general secretary (organisation) B L Santhosh to finalise the strategy. State BJP office bearers and leaders of various party units attended the closed-door meeting. Sources said elaborate discussions have been held on strengthening the party’s organization with a focus on booth management.

Senior BJP leaders informed that several top Central leaders of the party, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and others will be visiting Odisha in a phased manner.

Apart from this, 21 top leaders will visit 21 Lok Sabha constituencies in Odisha ahead of the polls. The visit of BJP’s top leadership is likely to begin soon after the National Council meeting, informed BJP leader Jayanarayan Mishra.

“We will thwart every conspiracy by the ruling party to capture booths using money, police, and government machinery. At every booth and ward level, we have built up organisation and efforts are on to connect vote makers and breakers with the party,” said Mishra.
