2 killed, 14 critically injured in accident on Kakatpur-Nayagarh road in Odisha

At least 2 persons died while 14 others sustained critical injuries as the vehicle they were travelling on overturned on Kakatpur-Nayagarh road near Jagannathpur on Friday.

The deceased have been identified as Jogendra Swain of Chatiana village under Astaranga police limits and Sarat Sahoo of Kendrapati village.

Reportedly, the betel leaves-laden pickup van carrying some betel farmers was on the way to the betel market at Nayahata when the driver lost control and the vehicle turned turtle near Jagannatghpur. 

Till the last report came in, eight injured persons were shifted to Bhubaneswar after their condition deteriorated.
