150 rounds of live bullets seized from Purushottam Express at Puri

As many as 150 rounds of live bullets were seized from Purushottam Express at Puri railway station on Wednesday.

As per reports, Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel stumbled upon the live bullets while searching a black bag under S-2 sleeper coach of the train.

Following the development, the RPF personnel seized the live bullets and informed the Government Railway Police (GRP) about the matter. Subsequently, the Government Railway Police registered a case in this connection and started an investigation into the incident.

“When Purushottam Express reached Puri Railway Station from Delhi this morning, the washmen informed RPF that there was some ammunition in a bag. After checking the bag, the RPF personnel recovered 150 live bullets kept inside 15 packs in the bag. The bullets have been seized and an investigation into the matter is currently going on,” said Puri GRP IIC Santosh Bahinipati.
