The Directorate of Elementary Education, Odisha seems to be in a fix as the education officers of 11 districts are yet to provide data on fake teachers in their respective jurisdictions.
The district education officers (DEOs) of Bhadrak, Balasore, Bolangir, Deogarh, Gajapati, Jagatsinghpur, Kalahandi, Kendrapara, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj and Sambalpur have allegedly not complied with the previous directives of the Directorate of Elementary Education.
In view of this, the Directorate of Elementary Education has again shot off a letter to the DEOs of the above mentioned districts to submit data on fake certificate cases. The letter was issued by the Directorate on January 25 and they were asked to furnish the required data by January 30, 2024.
As per the letter, the Directorate on December 29 last year had asked the DEOs to submit the data.
“The data of your district have not been received till date. Due to incomplete data, the compliance affidavit could not be filled till now,” the latest letter read.
