After ‘Modi ki Guarantee’ trumped Congress in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan and had a landslide victory in Madhya Pradesh, BJP is playing the ‘guarantee’ card now in Odisha.

Ahead of the 2024 General Elections, the saffron party is emphasizing on repayment of chit fund money, farmers’ issues, pucca houses to the poor, doubling the income of farmers, and providing proper drinking water facilities across the state.
BJP has promised to repay the chit-fund victims of all their money in just 24 hours of coming to power.

“In just 24 hours of coming to power, we will pass an Ordinance and repay money to all the chit-fund victims. PM Modi also promises to double the income of the farmers. We will provide pucca houses to the poor without taking a penny and make sure the genuine beneficiaries avail all possible help from various Modi government-launched schemes,” said Manmohan Samal.

Similarly, Maheswar Sahu, President BJP Krushak Morcha said, “Our effort is to reach all the farmers at the grassroots level, conduct panchayat-level meetings, and do everything for our farmers that the Naveen-led government hasn’t done in their 24 years of rule.”

Moreover, the double-engine government has promised to hold student elections every year. Efforts are also on to woo women voters with target on SHGs.

“BJP’s promises are just false promises as they say it ‘jumla’. They had promised 2 crore jobs every year, did they give? Similarly, they had promised Rs 15L each in everyone’s account, did they deposit? They can only give jumlas to the people,” said OPCC President Sarat Pattanayak.

When contacted, BJD MLA Padmanav Behera said, “Every party makes hundreds of promises to the voters during elections. However, only our party fulfils all the promises. CM Naveen Patnaik himself ensures that all the promises made by the party are fulfilled. Even people trust our party for our commitment to the citizens.”

On the other hand, the three-day meeting of the BJP with all the party office bearers in Bhubaneswar has concluded. BJP’s regional in-charge Sunil Bansal has directed all the party workers to focus on the ‘Modi ki Guarantee’ and reach out to the voters ahead of the 2024 General Elections.
