The residents of Bhubaneswar had a blast on Sunday as the street festival, ‘Patha Utsav’ returned to the city and it was the first event of this year. The entire stretch of road from Master Canteen to Ram Mandir was buzzing with activities with scores of people from the smart city attending a number of events during the Patha Utsav.

From musical programmes to a wide range of sporting activities for children and people of all age groups, the Patha Utsav weaved magic with a variety of entertainment options. So be it the spending dance performance by a group of young skaters from Berhampur or cultural dance extravaganza, people enjoyed every minute of the events that they participated on Sunday.

Braving the early morning chill, scores of people thronged the venue in large numbers and made the event a grand success. The Patha Utsav is being organised to promote the message of staying fit and keeping the city clean.

“For three hours, we relived our childhood memories and participated in a lot of events during Patha Utsav. When Rahagiri was first started, we had loved it and now we are enjoying every bit here,” said a local resident.

Bhubaneswar Mayor, Sulochana Das said, “Today Patha Utsav has resumed and thousands of people have participated in it. A special event 'Bhubaneswar Got Talent' was also organised.”

Das further said, “Special rangoli event, health camp and other awareness drives were undertaken today.”
