Good news for wildlife lovers, tourists, visitors and students! They will get exciting and exhilarating experience while taking part in the night safari at Nandankanan Zoological Park in Odisha. 

They will avail of this facility under an educative programme ‘Night out at Zoo’ which was launched on Sunday to study the zoo animals and the nocturnal environment. 

As per reports, under the initiative, as many as 20 participants will be allowed to enjoy the night safari in the zoo from 6.30 pm to 8 pm every Sunday. 

To get an insight into the life of nocturnal animals and birds in the zoo, the participants will be provided with battery-operated vehicles, and technical guides for the jungle safari.

However, they can have this facility only after registering their names online with a deposit of Rs 250 for each participant. 

The registered participants are suposed to  report at least 15 minutes before at Nandankanan Zoological Park. 

Speaking to the media, a woman visitor who was waiting for the night safari, said, ”We have seen the animals and the zoo environment in the daytime, but it will be quite different to watch animals and the zoo at night. We will get an insight into how the animals are living and behaving at night. It will be very exciting.”
