Amid the controversy surrounding Leader of Opposition (LoP) Jayanarayan Mishra, his daughter on Friday stole the show by terming the protest by Kinnars (transgenders) in front of their house as a ‘sponsored act.’

The senior BJP leader’s daughter, Subhashree was seen offering water and sweets to the protesting kinnars on her father’s 60th birthday today.

The transgenders had staged a demonstration protesting the senior BJP leader’s behaviour and alleged scuffle with a lady police officer. “The entire protest I believe was a sponsored one as the agitators stopped once the cameras were off. We have been told to ensure that nobody leaves our house empty handed. As the agitators were tired, I offered them water and sweets. They thanked me as well,” said Subhashree.

To the question whether she will join politics, Subhashree said that she certainly has interest for politics. “I do have interest and I have been working with my father since long. It will happen if people want,” Subhashree added.

Earlier, several BJP leaders including Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and others turned up at the official residence of Jayanarayan Mishra to extended wishes on his birthday today.
