In the wake of the heinous murder of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena chief, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the outfit members have called for a city-wide shutdown in Jaipur on Wednesday. The organisation is demanding swift and severe action against the assailants. An intensive manhunt is currently underway in five states, including Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, and Madhya Pradesh.

Responding to the call for a 'bandh,' business organizations in Jaipur have declared a shutdown. Additionally, supporters have issued warnings of strikes in Jaisalmer and Barmer. Tuesday witnessed widespread protests in Churu, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, and Rajsamand, denouncing the brutal crime.

The Rajasthan Police have shared photographs of the suspects with their counterparts in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, and Madhya Pradesh. Habitual criminals are undergoing interrogation with the provided images.

DGP Umesh Mishra has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the murder case. The team, headed by ADG Crime Dinesh N.M., is actively pursuing leads. Informants providing information about the accused will also receive a reward of Rs 5 lakh each.

In an effort to gather intelligence, the police are interrogating three criminals responsible for the murder of Raju Theth in Bikaner jail and one in Jaipur jail. A Jaipur-based team is conducting inquiries with criminals in jails across Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, particularly those with a history of crimes committed in Rajasthan.

The police are also questioning the associates of gangster Rohit Godara, lodged in various Rajasthan jails, anticipating clues about the assailants. In addition, criminals incarcerated on charges of murder, extortion, and threats are being probed for information regarding the shooters.

The incident occurred on Tuesday when three assailants opened fire on Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, resulting in his tragic demise. Ajit Singh, the guard accompanying Gogamedi, sustained serious injuries, and Naveen Shekhawat, the individual who brought him to Gogamedi's residence, lost his life in the crossfire.
