Public undertakings backbone of India's development: MP Baijayant Panda

Public undertakings are the backbone of India's infrastructure and economic development, said BJP National Vice President and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda, who is also the Chairperson of the Committee on Public Undertakings.

Baijayant Panda's statements came after the first meeting of the Committee on Public Undertakings in the 18th Lok Sabha on Thursday. 

Baijayant Panda, who chaired the meeting, took to his X handle and wrote, “Public undertakings are the backbone of India's infrastructure and economic development, driving national progress.”

He also informed that the Comptroller and Auditor General of India GC Murmu and his team attended the meeting and offered valuable suggestions for planning their agenda of topics to be covered. 

“Chaired the first meeting of the Committee on Public Undertakings in the 18th Lok Sabha today. CAG GC Murmu and his team joined us, offering valuable suggestions for planning our agenda of topics to be covered. This marks the beginning of a productive year ahead in strengthening the performance and accountability of public sector enterprises,” read his post.
