President of India, Droupadi Murmu's Odisha visit was postponed on Monday due to unavoidable circumstances. The President was scheduled to visit Bangriposi, Uparbeda, Rairangpur, Puri & Bhubaneswar from October 23rd to October 25th.

Issuing an official letter, the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the President of India informed about the postponement of the President's scheduled Odisha visit. 

As per the itinerary released earlier, it was scheduled that she would land at Bangriposi helipad in Mayurbhanj district at 9:55 am on October 23. From there, she would proceed to Bangiriposi Railway Station by road and lay foundation stones for three railway lines -- Bangiriposi-Gorumahisani, Buramara-Chakulia, and Badampahar-Kendujhargarh.

She was also scheduled to virtually launch three projects – Tribal Research Centre, Dandabose Airport, and a sub-divisional hospital. Later in the day, President Murmu would have flown to Rangamathia and is scheduled to visit Uparbeda Government Upper Primary School.

On October 24, the President was scheduled to visit Puri Srimandir and seek the blessings of Lord Jagannath. Later, she was scheduled to attend the 75th Anniversary Celebration of Gobapandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya.

Later that afternoon, she was scheduled to return to Bhubaneswar and attend the 40th convocation of OUAT. In the evening at around 6pm, the President would have attended the grand opening of the newly constructed judicial court complex.

After spending October 24 night at Raj Bhawan, she was scheduled to unveil the new statue of Pandit Raghunath Murmu in Bhubaneswar’s Niladri Vihar on October 25 before flying to Raipur.
