The Department of Personnel & Training has ordered mass promotion Central government employees from Central Secretariat Service (CSS), Central Secretariat Stenographers' Service (CSSS) and Central Secretariat Clerical Service (CSCS).

As per official sources, over 8,000 employees will be entitled for promotions.

Around 8,089 posts are up for promotion, of which 727 are reserved for Scheduled Castes and 207 for Scheduled Tribes. Similarly, 5,032 promotions are for unreserved posts. The last time around 4,000 officers were promoted in such a massive scale in 2019 in these three services.

Among the posts included for promotion includes Stenographers, principal staff officers, clerks, and others in the Central Secretariat Stenographers’ Service and the Central Secretariat Clerical Service.
