The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Friday announced that the Common University Entrance Test, Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2023 scheduled for 21st to 25th May 2023 has been cancelled for the students of Jammu and Kashmir. It will now commence from May 26, 2023 onwards.

According to the official announcement made by the UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar, the CUET UG 2023 scheduled for May 21-25, 2023 is cancelled in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir.

As per the official notification issued by NTA, a total of 87,309 unique candidates registered from the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. 

“This is a phenomenal increase in the number of registered candidates as compared to the last year. Being sensitive to the needs of candidates and to facilitate the students of Jammu and Kashmir, the NTA is exploring the possibility of creating temporary Centres in Kashmir,” the release further stated.

Meanwhile, the candidates have been advised to regularly visit NTA website(s) http://nta.ac.in and https://cuet.samarth.ac.in for the latest updates regarding the examination.
