New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) National Vice President and In-Charge of Delhi Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda on Friday joined West Delhi’s MP Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma in inaugurating the distribution service of 100 oxygen concentrators to COVID patients in West Delhi.

An Oxygen Seva Kendra was also inaugurated at the event which will work to provide medical facilities including doctors, nurses and medicines besides oxygen concentrators to COVID patients.

The event was joined by Siddharthan, General Secretary (Organisation) of Delhi BJP.

Taking to the micro blogging site Twitter, Panda wrote, “Joined MP Parvesh Singh Ji at his distribution of 100 Oxygen concentrators to provide assistance to citizens in need. BJP Delhi MPs, MLAs, office bearers & karyakartas have been toiling tirelessly to facilitate O2, hospital admissions, food packets delivery to homes & much more.”

Speaking on the occasion, Panda said, “Service to Nation is the fundamental idea behind BJP’s foundation.”

It is pertinent to mention here that Delhi has been witnessing a decline in COVID cases lately. It recorded 8,500 fresh COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, the first time the figure has dipped below 10,000 since April 10, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Friday. The city's test positivity rate has also dipped to 12 per cent.

On April 20, more than 28,000 cases were reported in Delhi.
