IPS Officer Niti Sekhar has been appointed as the Additional Commissioner of the Cuttack-Bhubaneswar Police Commissionerate.

The Odisha Police on Friday issued a directive informing about the reshuffle in the senior rank of State police. 

Sekhar, a 2007 batch IPS officer who is presently serving as Additional Transport Commissioner, Cuttack will proceed immediately to join as AdCP of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police in place of IPS Rekha Lohani, the notification issued by the State Police Headquarters stated. 

The outgoing AdCP and senior IPS of 1997 batch, Rekha Lohani has been appointed as the new Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Crime Against Women and Children Wing upon her promotion to the rank of ADGP with effect from January 1, 2022, the State police directive stated.
