Odisha Leader of Opposition Pradipta Naik
Bhubaneswar: The health condition of Leader of Opposition in Odisha Assembly, Pradipta Naik is improving, the Medical Superintendent of Bhubaneswar AIIMS informed on Sunday.
AIIMS superintendent Sachidananda Mohanty informed OTV that the status of the senior BJP leader has improved as compared to his health condition earlier. A special medical team is currently monitoring the health status of the LoP Naik.
Naik who was afflicted with Covid-19 has been undergoing treatment in ICU in AIIMS-Bhubaneswar for the last three weeks. Doctors have said that even though he is Covid negative, he is undergoing treatment for his lung infection.
Recently, PM Modi and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had enquired about the health condition of the senior leader.
This apart, two sons of Padma Vibhushan sculptor from Odisha, late Raghunath Mohapatra who are also undergoing treatment at the premier hospital are also stable.
Dr. Mohanty informed that the health condition of Prashant and Jasobant Mohapatra is stable as they continue their recuperation from Covid infection. They are presently in ventilator support.
Their father and renowned sculptor Raghunath Mohapatra succumbed to Covid-19 a week ago.
