Elderly Woman Denied Aadhaar Card By Son For Covid Vaccination

Bhubaneswar: An elderly woman approached the Commissionerate Police here today accusing her son of showing ill-treatment to her and denying her Aadhaar Card for Covid vaccination. 

As per the complaint lodged by the woman, Golap Mishra, a resident of Chakeisiani area of Bhubaneswar, she was thrown out of her house by her two sons some years ago. 

Since then 70-year-old Golap has been living at her daughter's house in Dhenkanal. Recently, she returned to her home in Bhubaneswar to get her Aadhaar card which is one of the most important identity proofs for getting vaccinated against Covid-19. 

But her son allegedly did not allow her to enter the house, she stated in her complaint before Mancheswar Police Station. 
Meanwhile, the Police have said that they are trying to mediate the issue between the elderly woman and her two sons.
