Dressed in a saree, an Egyptian woman greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the popular song ‘Yeh Dosti Hum Nahin Todenge’ from the blockbuster movie ‘Sholay’.

The girl’s beautiful rendition of the song left the PM mesmerised and he thanked the woman and heaped praises on her. Modi blessed the woman and at the same time, he was stunned to learn that she had never visited India.

“Kisi Ko pata bhi nahi chalega ki aap Egypt ki beti ho ya Hindustan ki beti ho,” the PM said.

But, her love for India, Bollywood movies and songs amazed the PM who praised her and blessed her for her future endeavours.

Expressing happiness, the woman said that she felt immensely blessed to meet PM Modi and was happy to see him smile after listening to her song. She also dedicated another super hit song ‘Lag Ja Gale’ for all the Indians as a sign of love from Egypt.

Meanwhile, PM Modi, who is in Egypt for a two-day state visit, is scheduled to meet Egyptian President El-Sisi and join a roundtable discussion with the India Unit of the Egyptian Cabinet led by his counterpart Madbouly.

As the two nations seek to enhance their strategic partnership, PM Modi’s visit to Egypt is taking place within six months of President El-Sisi’s visit to India as the chief guest of the Republic Day celebrations this year.
