  • More than 27.83 lakh farmers from Odisha have also received Rs 556.64 crores today under 8th installment of PM Kisan

Bhubaneswar: Union Minister of Steel and Petroleum Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday requested Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to expedite procedural compliances and formalities so that all registered farmers of Odisha can get benefit from direct income support under the PM Kisan.

Pradhan highlighted through his Twitter handle that since the launch of PM Kisan, a total of Rs 3380.85 crore has been transferred to all eligible farmers of Odisha. However, I have noticed that out of the total 40.50 lakh registered farmers in the State, only 27.83 lakh farmer brothers and sisters have been benefitted today.

The same trend of less number of farmers receiving income support under the PM Kisan scheme than the total number of registered farmers in Odisha has been noticed in the previous 7 installments, he noted in his communiqué to the Chief Minister.

Pradhan mentioned that he had already apprised the Patnaik in this regard earlier.

Happy to share that more than 27.83 lakh farmers from Odisha have also received Rs 556.64 crores today into, their bank accounts under PM Kisan, the Union Minister informed while thanking PM Modi and Union Agriculture Minister Narendra S Tomar.

Disbursement of more than Rs 20000 crore into the bank accounts of over 9.5 crore farmers across India as the 8th installment under the PM Kisan by PM Modi will further strengthen the hands of our Anna Datas, especially during these difficult times, he wrote.
