Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was slammed by Twitterati, including Kanchan Gupta, the Senior Adviser, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, over a Delhi government-sponsored newspaper advertisement wishing Ram Navami on Sunday.

The Twitteratti were fumed over the picture of the temple in the advertisement which allegedly resembled the central dome of Babri Masjid.

Slamming the Delhi government and CM Kejriwal, Gupta tweeted, “The Sri Ram Mandir at Ayodhya looks nothing like as shown in tax-funded Delhi Govt ad along with Arvind Kejriwal’s smirking face. Whose fetid imagination is the visual in the ad? Where did the dome come from? Architect’s scale model images of Sri Ram Mandir are freely available.”

Some Twitter users even raised their displeasure over the color of the Temple which was shown in blue. A Twitter user @pillairr wrote, “There's no flag atop. No saffron color either anywhere in the ad. He has found the loophole in law and he is spending as per his whims on ads. System must fix this anarchist designs.”

Some Twitteratis also alleged that Kejriwal replaced himself in place of Bhagwan Ram in the wish advertorial as the image of Prabhu Ram was missing from the graphic.

Arvind Kejriwal has been at the loggerheads with the right-wing activists in the past for expressing concerns over the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
