CRPF's Legacy and Contributions

The origins of the CRPF can be traced back to July 27, 1939, when the Crown Representative Police was established during British rule in Neemuch. It was later renamed the Central Reserve Police Force by Home Minister Patel on December 28, 1949. Since its inception, the CRPF has played a significant role in various critical areas, including internal security, counter-insurgency, terrorism operations, international peace-keeping, VIP security, and disaster management.
