All departments of the Government of Odisha and other Sub-ordinate Offices in the State have been asked to function with full strength of employees with effect from 16th July, 2021 until further orders, a notification issued by the GA department said.

Even though the scare for a third wave of the pandemic looms ahead, the government has clarified that most of the employees are now fully vaccinated and are required mandatorily to attend office regularly.

In case any employee has been unable to get vaccinated for medical or some other compelling reason(s), s/he must apply for an exemption to the Head of Office. On receipt of such application, the matter can be considered on a case-to-case basis, the GA department said in its circular to Chief Minister’s Office, Chief Secretary, all departments, RDCs and Collectors.

All State Government Offices shall remain closed on Saturdays. All precautionary measures indicated to prevent spread of COVID infection shall be strictly followed by all the Offices as well as the employees.

In case of detection of COVID infection case in any Office, the necessary protocols issued by the department shall be followed and be reported to concerned Head of Office, forthwith.
