18th Committee of CoPU presents 4 reports in Parliament under chairmanship of BJP MP Baijayant Panda
Under the chairmanship of BJP National Vice President and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda, the 18th Committee on Public Undertakings (CoPU) presented four reports in the Parliament on Thursday.
The tabled reports included- 2 Comprehensive Examination reports on IFCI Limited (formerly Industrial Finance Corporation of India) and IREL (India) Limited (formerly -Indian Rare Earths Limited) and 2 Audit reports on Design and Development (D&D) in Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Reviewing Timely Submission of Action Taken Notes (ATNS) on C&AG Paras/Reports (Commercial) by the Ministries/Departments.

Strengthening Accountability and Transparency
Taking to his ‘X’ handle, the BJP VP shared, “Strengthening accountability and transparency in public undertakings! Today in Lok Sabha, I presented the 9th to 12th Reports of the Committee on Public Undertakings of the 18th Lok Sabha, including reviews of IFCI Limited, HAL, IREL (India) Limited, and the timely submission of Action Taken Notes on C&AG reports.”
New Benchmarks:
Under MP Panda’s chairmanship, CoPU has consistently set new benchmarks in parliamentary oversight submitting 12 reports and holding 32 sittings. A significant milestone was achieved on 18th December 2024, when the committee presented eight reports in a single day.
