Youth Dies After Jumping Off Kathajodi Bridge In Cuttack

A youth dies after jumping from the bridge over Kathajodi river between Press Square and Gopalpur in Cuttack on Wednesday morning.

As per reports, the ODRAF team which was pressed to action after the youth jumped from the bridge, found his body after hours of search operation.

The deceased has been identified as Sapan Kumar Behera who hailed from Kharavela Nagar area in Bhubaneswar and worked as a courier delivery boy.

The exact cause leading up to his jumping off the bridge is yet to be ascertained.

Earlier in the month, a man working as a laboratory assistant at a college in Bhubaneswar went reportedly missing after jumping into Mahanadi River from the bridge near Jagatpur in Cuttack Town on the morning of September 26.

The man was identified as Debasis Das, a resident of Chauliaganj area in the millennium city. He worked as a laboratory assistant at Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar (BJB) Autonomous College in Bhubaneswar.
