Woman lands in jail after her 10-year-old son gets tattooed

A woman of New York city in the United States has been reportedly arrested after her 10–year-old son got tattooed on his forearm.

According to The New York Times, the woman, identified as, Crystal Thomas (33) and the tattoo artist Austin Smith (20) were arrested last month for violating the norms to get inked in the New York City.

The incident came to fore when the 10-year-old boy walked into the nurse’s office of his elementary school located at Highland in the city and asked moisturiser to apply on his tattoo.

The boy had inked his name in large block letters on his forearm after taking permission from her mother.

The nurse immediately called the police and the cops swung into action by arresting the mother of the boy and the tattoo artist who was running the studio without licence.

There are several states in the US where there is no minimum age to get a tattoo. However, in the New York, you must be 18 or above to get yourself inked with or without parents’ consent.
