Hours after purported videos of Ollywood actor Prakruti Mishra being harassed by the wife of co-actor Tanmay Mohanty, popularly known as Babushaan Mohanty, went viral on various social media platforms on Saturday, Babushaan broke silence and released a video statement over the matter.

The Ollywood actor, who went to Chennai to attend an event after the incident, released the video statement in which he can be seen saying he will not work with Prakruti Mishra or any heroine.

“You all must be enjoying, watching my viral videos. But, I want to tell you that I came to Chennai to participate in Utkal Divas celebrations and Prakutri Mishra was also invited to the event. I came here to promote my film in which she (Prakruti) is working opposite me,” Babushaan said in the video.

“I was not aware that my family was going through disturbances. If my family has issues, I will not do that film with her (Prakruti). If required, I will not work with any heroines in the future,” the actor said in his video statement.

Notably, the videos of Babushaan's wife Trupti Satpathy manhandling her husband and Prakruti Mishra on a busy Bhubaneswar street went viral on various social media platforms on Saturday.

In the viral video, Prakruti, who is set to make her Bollywood debut, was heard crying for help from the locals present there. As no help came her way, she was seen running away from the spot to save her life.

It is being alleged that Babushaan's wife Trupti along with some goons stopped the duo while they were on their way to the Bhubaneswar Airport to catch a Chennai-bound flight for their film promotion.

Meanwhile, Kharvel Nagar Police has registered a case under Sections 341, 294, 323, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code on basis of a complaint filed by Prakruti Mishra’s mother Krushnapriya Mishra.

On the other hand, Trupti accused the actress of creating disturbances in their marital life and lodged a complaint at the same police station.  Trupti’s mother-in-law Aparajita Mohanty accompanied her when she went to the police station to lodge the complaint.a
