In a scene straight out of a Bollywood action movie, a truck moving at top speed was spotted hauling a person on its bumper for several kilometres on National Highway-5 near Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh.

People’s curiosity dissipated only when the local police managed to stop the truck. But, by then, the vehicle had already travelled 10 kilometres with the person, later identified as a tollgate official, clinging onto its bumper for his dear life.

As per reports, the truck, loaded with potato, was made to stop at the toll gate near Kurnool for some time due to glitch in the FASTag system. After inspection, one of the staff stationed at the tollgate asked the driver to cough up a certain amount towards fine which sparked an altercation.

To avoid paying fine, the driver tried to drive away from the spot. But then, Srinivas, the supervisor of the tollgate, came to the front of the vehicle, to stop it from fleeing without paying the penalty. To his utter dismay, the driver, instead of stopping the vehicle, stepped up its accelerator.

In order to save himself, Srinivas jumped onto the bumper of the vehicle and held on to the vehicle tightly as it sped away.

Informed, the local police swung into action and chased after the truck before finally succeeding to stop the vehicle. While the incident has given the tollgate employee Srinivas a near-death experience, the driver’s sheer madness has landed him behind the bars.
