Watch: RPF man saving woman from being run over by train

The heroic act of a Railway Police Force (RPF) personnel on Saturday saved an eldery woman, who was trying to cross railway tracks, from being run over by a train at Lalitpur in Uttar Pradesh. 

The entire incident was captured in a CCTV camera at the platform.

The video of the incident was shared by the Ministry of Railways while lauding the RPF personnel for his timely response.

“The woman's life was saved by the promptness of the RPF personnel. An elderly woman crossing the track at Lalitpur station of Jhansi division was saved by the railway security personnel posted there,” the ministry said in tweet.

Through the tweet, the ministry urged passengers to use foot over bridge to switch over to platforms. 

The video shared by the ministry garnered over 80.4K views since it was posted yesterday.

One user wote, “Can we have a long term solution to this issue. We lose precious human lives while I undertand that there are limitations with respect to cost that you can spend but can we do brainstorming session to find some solutions.”
