The Commissionerate police on Wednesday confirmed that the two visually-impaired girl students of Rama Devi Women’s University who went missing on Tuesday have been found in Mathura area of Uttar Pradesh.

As per sources, the Railway Police in Mathura has rescued the duo. A team of Cuttack-Bhubaneswar Police have been sent to UP to bring back the two girl students to Odisha.

The two girls who are Plus-III students in the RD University had gone missing on Tuesday afternoon. A missing complaint was lodged by the family members of both the students spurring police to launch a frantic search into the case.

As per police sources, one of the two girls was staying at a hostel of the varsity while the other was a day scholar who was living with her family on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.

Even though a handwritten note has been recovered from the house of student which purportedly mentioned her saying that she was going outside, she has exactly not stated about the location.

Similarly, the other student has left a 'memory-chip' in the hostel which reportedly has some content telling about her decision on leaving the hostel.

Police have seized the letter and the chip and an investigation has been launched into the missing case.
