Train derailment at Gurpa; ECoR diverts several trains originating from Bhubaneswar, Puri

53 wagons of a coal-laden goods train derailed at Gurpa station in Gaya district of Bihar between Koderma and Manpur railway sections of Dhanbad division.

The East Coast Railway (ECoR) diverted several trains originating from Bhubaneswar and Puri after a goods train derailed at Gurpa station in Bihar on Wednesday.

53 wagons of a coal-laden goods train derailed at Gurpa station in Gaya district of Bihar between Koderma and Manpur railway sections of Dhanbad division. The train derailed at around 6.24am on Wednesday. As per East Coast Railway, no casualties have been reported in the incident.

Diverted Trains:

- 12281 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Duronto Express from Bhubaneswar on 26.10.2022 will run via Adra-Joychandipahar-Asansol-Jhajha-Patna-Din Dayal Upadhyaya Jn instead of Adra-Gomo-Gaya-Din Dayal Upadhyaya Jn route.

- 22811 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express from Bhubaneswar on 26.10.2022 will run on diverted route via Bhojudih-Talgaria-Muri-Barkakana-Garwa Road-Dehro On Sone- Din Dayal Upadhyaya Jn instead of Khanodih-Gomo-Gaya-Din Dayal Upadhyaya Jn route.

- 12815 Puri-Anand Vihar (New Delhi) Nandankanan Express from Puri on 26.10.2022 will run on diverted route via Bhojudih-Talgaria-Muri-Barkakana-Garwa Road-Dehri On Sone- Din Dayal Upadhyaya Jn instead of Khanodih-Gomo-Gaya-Upadhyaya Jn route.
